6. Temperature Screening for Visitor Registration

This section covers using NoahFace for the primary purpose of screening visitors for elevated temperatures as part of their time access to secure areas. Visitors with elevated temperatures can be detected and denied access.

Getting Started

Start by logging into the NoahFace Dashboard and selecting the organisation that you want to use Temperature Screening with.

Setup

Select the Access Points menu and then the Access Point Types tab, and then either add or modify your access point type. For Visitor Registration applications:

  • Screen timeout. Set this to a higher than usual value (eg: 40 seconds) to allow time for visitors to test their temperature.
  • Screen type. Set this to “Visitor Registration”.
  • Screen details. Set any of the following options:

Note: This UFR101 Bluetooth Thermometer cannot be used at the same time (ie: using the same iPad) as a Label Printing printing device.

In the case that a visitor has an elevated temperature, they will see the following and an access denied event will be recorded:
