4. Connecting the NoahFace App

4. Connecting the NoahFace App

There are three ways to connect the NoahFace App to your Access Point as follows:

  1. QR Code
  2. Activation Code
  3. Dashboard

Each of these approaches is covered below.

Connecting via QR Code

If you have an activation QR Code (either on screen or provided to you via email), simply open the Camera App on your iPad and scan it using the rear camera.

The Camera App will display the following:

Touch this to connect your Access Point and start the synchronisation process.

Note: Each QR Code is unique to an Access Point; you can only use it once.

Connecting via Activation Code

When you start the NoahFace App, you will see a startup wizard. Proceed through the wizard and select the option to connect to your account as follows:

Enter your Activation Code to connect your Access Point and start the synchronisation process.

Connecting via the Dashboard

If you have an administrator login to the NoahFace Dashboard, you can login to the Dashboard on your iPad using the Safari Web browser. When you create an Access Point you will see the following:

Simply touch the QR Code to connect your Access Point. You don’t need to scan the QR Code since you are viewing it on the same iPad the NoahFace App is installed on.

Completing the Activation

Once the synchronisation is complete, you will be able to complete the wizard by granting permission to use your camera and indicating whether your mounting position has Constant lighting or Variable lighting (ie: it is impacted by light from a window or skylight). If you have not yet finalised your mounting position, select Variable and you can adjust this later under Settings / Camera .
