Appendix A: Troubleshooting

The following table lists common Temperature Screening issues and resolutions:

The NoahFace App cannot connect to the thermometer.

Go through the following steps:

  1. There are two versions of the UFR101 thermometer, one that supports Bluetooth and one that does not. Verify that the thermometer you have purchased supports Bluetooth.
  2. Install the Bluetooth Thermometer App from the App Store and verify that this App connects to the device and reads temperatures. If this is not working, it is likely your device is faulty and will need to be replaced.
  3. Verify that you are running the latest version of the NoahFace App.
  4. Verify your settings in the NoahFace App under Settings/Sensor are as you expect.
  5. If you have more than one UFR101 device and you previously connected your NoahFace App to a different device, then disconnect your old device (under Settings/Sensor) and try again.
  6. Under iPad OS Settings, select the NoahFace App and verify the “Bluetooth” access switch is turned on. The NoahFace App requires this permission to connect to the device.
  7. Revert the configuration back to one of the examples in this setup guide. Verify that both the Screen type and the Screen details are set exactly as per the examples. If this works, incrementally add/change your settings one change at a time, testing again at each step.

In the Add/Edit Access Point Type screen there is no option to select the Sensor.

This means you do not have an Enterprise plan. If you are paying for your subscription by credit card, you can upgrade your subscription from the Change Plans menu. If you are paying for your subscription manually, please contact NoahFace to upgrade your subscription.

Temperatures are in the wrong scale (ie: Celcius vs. Farenheit).

There is a physical switch at the bottom of the device.
